Did you know that our Preschool teachers are making videos each week to connect with our youngest learners? You can see them on the website under "Parent's Place" on the Elementary page. Preschool students can also come by the school and get packets each week starting next week! Packet pick-up is during lunch time from 11:15am-12:15pm Monday-Thursday in the office! The Air Quality in our area is improving but it is not where we need it to be to send staff out for Meal Service and Lunch Delivery. Once again, we are canceling these services for tomorrow, Thursday, September 17th. We are hopeful that we will be able to resume meal routes on Monday. We know this has been a hardship, and we thank you for understanding. Stay safe! ¡Mantenerse a salvo!

The 2020 Census is still happening, and it’s not too late to make sure everyone in your household is counted. For each resident of Umatilla County who participates, approximately $4,000 worth of funding comes to our communities. These funds support crucial programs that serve our families, including: · Head Start · National School Lunch Program · School Breakfast Program · Women, Infants and Children (WIC) · Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Responding to the Census helps ensure these programs reach those in our community who need them. The COVID-19 pandemic also underscores how important a complete and accurate Census is. Data from the 2010 count as well as other Census Bureau surveys are used every day to help us understand and confront the novel coronavirus. Your personal information collected on the 2020 Census is protected by Title 13 of United States Code and cannot be shared with law enforcement, federal or state agencies, landlords, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), or employers. Completing your Census form only takes about 10 minutes but will impact Umatilla County and our communities for the next 10 years. Head to 2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020 TODAY!

Stanfield School District Board of Directors will be holding their regular monthly meeting this evening beginning at 6pm. On September 1, 2020, the Governor issued Executive Order No. 20-38, which rescinded Executive Order No. 20-16. EO 20-16 required public bodies to hold public meetings and hearings by telephone, video, or other electronic or virtual means, “whenever possible.”   Those attending in-person public meetings must maintain social distancing of six or more feet between individuals, wherever possible. Additionally, all those attending public meetings must comply with the Oregon Health Authority’s Statewide Mask, Face Covering, Face Shield Guidance.  As a result of the above, we will conduct our meeting over Zoom and in-person. Please let the District know ahead of time if you wish to attend in-person, as we have limited space to maintain the social distancing. As stated, please wear a face covering.

Due to the Governor's "Stay Home, Save Lives" order, Stanfield will not be hosting Jumpstart this year. We are saddened to not have this opportunity to meet your students prior to the start of the school year. Also in order to accommodate the new regulations we will be moving our Kindergarten and Ready for Kindergarten 3 and 4 year old registration. Registration will be Monday, August 24th for 3 and 4 year olds from 9am - 2pm. Tuesday, August 25th will be Kindergarten Registration from 9am - 2pm. Spanish translation will be available both days. Please bring proof of physical address, shot records, and birth certificate.
