Superintendent's message: 06/18/2020

Many people have been asking about how schools will be reopening in the fall.  The Oregon Department of Education released guidance last week, and we have begun to think about Stanfield Schools and the new school year.  Because the guidance will change multiple times as information is updated, we are going to hold off for a few weeks before diving in to the planning process.

While we worked hard to provide the best distance learning experience we could this past spring, we know that our students and families are wanting a school experience in 2020-21 that is as normal as possible.  We believe that on-site, in person teaching and learning is best.  Our planning efforts will seek to find a balance between opportunities for all students to come to school every day and reducing potential exposures to keep students and staff safe.

Our planning efforts will include opportunities for parents and students to give feedback, and we hope you will participate so that our plan reflects the wishes of our community to the greatest extent possible.

Please keep checking our website and Facebook page for new and updated information.  You can also download our district app which will notify you when new content is added.  In the meantime, stay healthy and safe!

Sincerely,

Beth Burton, Superintendent
