Monday, May 31, 2021, is Memorial Day. The Stanfield School District is very grateful to those men and women who died while serving in our military, in order to give us the freedoms we enjoy today.
"Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season."

This pandemic has been challenging for all of us, but even more so for our school nurse, who has kept up-to-date on the ever changing rules and regulations. We are so thankful for the nursing services we receive through our partnership with InterMountain Education Service District. Our school nurse, Tamara Bow, was featured in a news segment through NBC Right Now on her work in Stanfield and Umatilla schools. Thank you, Tamara, for all you do.
