SSD is excited to announce that Stanfield Elementary qualifies for Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for school meals. This means that students at SES can eat breakfast and lunch at no cost to families this school year! Schools must meet an Identified Student Percentage of 40% or more to qualify. Stanfield Elementary School qualified with 45.2%. It is important to note that CEP applies only to Stanfield Elementary School. The district would like to thank Food Service Supervisor, Heather Monkus, for working tirelessly to submit our district’s application and wading through the program details to make this possible for our elementary students and families. Questions about our eligibility can be directed to the district office at (541) 449-8766. More information about Community Eligibility Provision can be found in this document from the US Department of Agriculture: https://5il.co/1iuif

The track surfacing has started today! We are behind schedule, and are excited to be in the homestretch of this project. The facility is fully closed until the surfacing is finished. We are asking everyone to help us out by keeping out of the track facility area. The gates have been locked, and we will be sure to send out regular updates as we get closer to completion before the end of this month. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to get this project wrapped up.

Stanfield Elementary Families: Save the Date!

8/10/22 Board Agenda

We hope everyone is enjoying summer, but those who are starting their back-to-school shopping now, the 22-23 Stanfield Elementary School supply is out! You can view the list of supplies for Pre-K through 5th grade here: https://5il.co/1drtd.
There is not a supply list for SSS students. A notebook and some pens and pencils is usually all that is needed to start the year.
Pesticide Notification

The track renovation is coming along! Crews are in the middle of pouring back the asphalt base. All the asphalt work should be complete by the end of this week. The base requires a cure time of 28 days. Crews will be back the week of August 15th to apply the track surface. Striping will take place after that. The tentative date for completion is September 1st! Thank you for your patience this summer while we complete this project.

Starting today, there will be quite a bit of activity around the track area of campus as we are replacing our track. The track will be unavailable for use over the summer. The project schedule is as follows:
June 13-17: Removal of existing surface/base and pour-back of asphalt base
June 18-August 1: Asphalt base cures in place
August 15-26: New track surface is applied to base
August 29-Sept 1: Lane striping and numbering completed
The track is a great resource and gets significant community use. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this upgrade.
